It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was removed her side needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
