Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
